“Nearly 4x as many men as women die by suicide.”
— Newport Institute, July 2021
“49% of men feel more depressed than they are willing to admit to the people around them, and 45% believe mental health issues can be solved on their own.”
— Today Show, July 2021

Men are less likely than women to be diagnosed with any of the most common mental health disorders, and those who have received a diagnosis are less likely to seek treatment.

Men don’t tend to talk openly about their emotional struggles, such as feeling sad, worthless, or hopeless. Instead, male mental health conditions often manifest in symptoms such as:

* Aggression and violence

* High-risk activities

* Substance abuse

* Physical issues, such as chronic headaches or stomachaches

* Feelings of restlessness and difficulty focusing

* Appetite and weight changes

* Fatigue

* Obsessive thinking

Dudes That Dine is an in-person, community movement and private group based in Toronto.

It was created to support and encourage men's mental health—specifically around issues like depression, emotional struggles, anxiety, and loneliness.

The group provides a safe and welcoming space for men to connect and reconnect with one another.

Whether it’s over dinner, brunch, lunch, or even just a coffee and a bagel, the goal is to build meaningful relationships and foster real conversations.

Everything we do is rooted in a common thread of supporting one another through community, connection, and conversation with the common values of KINDNESS, RESPECT, and INCLUSION.

🧠Let's keep this positive movement going for Men's Mental Health!🧠

“Being vulnerable is not a weakness—it’s a strength.”
— Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
“I believe the biggest stigma right now with mental health is that a lot of men are afraid to talk about it. ”
— Michael Phelps
“Everyone is going through something that we can’t see.”
— Kevin Love
